LEAVING NO ONE BEHIND IN THE ENERGY TRANSITION
The European Union is taking ambitious measures to decarbonise its energy mix. These efforts are essential to tackle climate change. But we must ensure a just transition for all EU citizens.
For a successful energy transition, the EU must call on all available lower-carbon energy sources. To bring everyone along on the journey to net zero, energy sources need to be cost-effective, easy to transport and accessible. Liquid gases can provide energy consumers with viable alternatives in various sectors such as heating, transport and industrial applications.

ENERGY SECURITY
In the current geopolitical context, the EU needs to ensure secure access to affordable energy. Rising competition for reliable and cost-effective energy globally elevates the importance of autonomy and resilience of energy supplies. With a production capacity of 14.5 million tonnes of liquid gases in 2022, and with a projected production of 625,000 tonnes of renewable liquid gases in 2025, liquid gases have a key role to play in bringing a reliable energy source to European citizens.
THE SOURCE OF ENERGY EVERYWHERE
Liquid gases are a cost-effective, transportable solution to address the needs of remote communities. With the uptake of renewable gases, liquid gases are also a key piece of the energy transition, providing a just energy transition for all.
